What's running, what it costs, what it remembers — and how to use your own assistant instead.

How Forage remembers you

A travel agent who forgets you every visit is no use, so the desks write things down — in three places, all of which you can see and delete.

Facts — short, structured things a desk was told or worked out and chose to keep: your home airport, budget, what you're after. Every desk sees them, which is why you don't have to repeat yourself.

Notes — longer free-text observations, filed per desk so one specialist's notes don't leak into another's.

Transcripts — the conversations themselves. A generous recent window goes back to the model each turn; the rest stays in the database until you clear it.

None of it trains anybody's model. It goes to Anthropic only as the context of your own turn, and comes straight back.

What Forage has learned

Counts — how far people get, which desks they reach — are always collected and anonymous. This is different: letting the steward read your actual conversations to find what went wrong. Off unless you say yes.

Off.

Forage knows unusually personal things about you — who you travel with, what you're after, when you'll be away. What's kept and who can see it.
